International Nurses can come to Canada under the skilled workers and professionals program.
Canada’s skilled workers immigration program aims to recruit qualified foreigners who can help fill the country’s skills shortage. Nurses are among the professionals Canada has included in its priority list of foreigners who can apply as immigrants. This is not surprising, because the Canadian Nurses Association predicts a shortage of 60,000 registered nurses by 2022.
