Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses (CACCN)
Each year, CACCN provides $2,000 through a blind draw process to association
members who successfully complete their certification or certification renewal through CNA. The funds are drawn in $250 increments annually at the Dynamics of Critical
Care Conference. All CACCN members who certify or renew their certification and
provide CNA with permission to release their contact information are included in the funding draw and on the recognition listing printed in CACCN’s journal Dynamics. In addition to the funding draw offered by CACCN National, some local chapters also
offer draw or sponsorship assistance.

de Souza Institute Provides Support for Nurses Writing the CNA Oncology or
Palliative Care Certification Exam
Are you interested in receiving your Canadian Nurses Association certification in
oncology or hospice palliative care?
Building on last year’s successful program, de Souza Institute will offer free weekly
study sessions and financial reimbursement for the 2010 CNA oncology and
hospice palliative care certification exams. Guided by our educators and oncology
experts, study sessions are available to all Ontario nurses via e-learning and video conferencing.
Study curriculum is based on key oncology concepts included in the CNA certification exam. Study sessions are stimulating and interactive as nurses share content,
engage in online discussions and view relevant videos.
Oncology study groups take place online from November 2, 2009, to April 2, 2010. Hospice Palliative Care study groups will begin on January 25, 2010. There is no cost to participate in the sessions, and any nurse in Ontario is eligible to join regardless of registration for the exam. Please visit our website to sign up for our study group and
